Excellent thoughout very clean and very nice meal was lovely definitely recommend it and will be going back very soon pool area was a lovely could not fault my stay very impressed and looking forward to going back soon

As regular visitors we always enjoy Slaley Hall.
The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, from a warm welcome at Reception to check out.
The staff are all very pleasant and helpful.
The facilities are good, as are the food and rooms.
The location is good, perhaps the only downside is a lack of signage from the road for new visitors.

We arrived early and our room was ready.
The spa facilities were adequate. Only comment is some update needed to the rock effect around the pool.
The food in the Clarets jug was fine. Dessert bit disappointing.
The staff very friendly and Neville not sure his title but was a perfect gentleman. He transported our luggage to and from our bedroom with no effort. Neville was very polite and friendly. Hope to see him next time we visit.

Got an upgrade to a lovely large suite in a room above reception. Unfortunately they have music going from 6 30am to midnight. The speakers run along the corridors and unfortunately it's carrying up to our room. We called reception and asked where it was coming from and could they turn it down. We were informed that it's 'automated' and they have no control. So no idea where the mother ship was. Anyway, bars are nice, staff friendly and breakfast very nice. Checked out if the room earlier than we would have because the music was annoying.

This place is in a beautiful setting, some of the rooms are beautiful with lovely views some are quite basic but adequate. The spa is good but has changed over the years whereas you could get lovely food snacks and drinks they now sadly only serve drinks! The food however is hitty missy! Having been going to this place for over 30 years there are only a few occasions where the food has been spot on. Some of the staff need to be briefed on letting the public know which restaurants and bars are open for food and until what time. We did not know you had to make a reservation in the downstairs bar for food and were only briefed on the restaurant! this has never happened before so we very nearly didn't eat because when we did want to eat at the bar downstairs the person in charge said it was difficult to book a table even though the place was only a third full. Also some of the cocktails were'nt available (same happened last year) Not sure if this is a staff problem, lack of training or what but for a 4*hotel it's pretty poor. Having said that it is a lovely setting and I will continue to go as there are some good deals to be had but really this place could be magic if sorted out.

Had a lovely stay here ! Will definitely be returning. The grounds are beautiful very picturesque! Hotel itself was lovely, the food was so nice and had lots of gluten free options to tailor to my dietary requirements which was great, Rory was our server and was very helpful and polite. We visited the spa and had a treatment which I must say was one of the best back massages I’ve ever had ! Big thanks to Donna for that she was brilliant. The spa itself wasn’t as relaxing as we’d of liked due to the amount of children there being extremely loud which wasn’t down to the spa we didn’t actually realise there was an adult only time stated which would of been better for us as we didn’t stay there for as long we would of liked too due to how loud and chaotic it was. The rooms were standard, clean, comfy beds. Breakfast was also very good with lots of options, quick and easy check in and out, all the staff were friendly, especially Marcus who we spoke to a couple of times what a delight he was ! So happy and friendly, helpful and chatty just an instant mood lifter he was :)

Very beautiful lodge in very nice environment and nature. Enjoyed our summer holidays as family with teens. Excellent equipment in the lodge.
